"Power On!" - Audiobook Production
written by Jean Ryoo & Jane Margolis - MIT Press
Power On! is a graphic novel published by MIT Press, authored by UCLA researcher Jane Margolis — recipient of the Obama White House Champion of Change award — and Jean Ryoo. I was brought in to complete a complex production after the original producer stepped away, delivering the finished audiobook to publisher specification. It is now published and available on Audible.

SERVICES
Audio Drama & Spoken Word
Narrative audio is unforgiving. Pacing, clarity, the balance between voices — small problems become big ones at volume. I have experience with multi-voice productions and complex post-production work, including projects requiring significant repair and reconstruction to reach a finished standard.
Podcast Production
Most podcasts are recorded in imperfect conditions. Rooms that aren't treated, microphones that don't match, guests calling in from different locations. The editing is where it comes together. I work with supplied recordings or can direct and capture remote sessions directly, handling everything from structural editing and dialogue shaping through to mix and master for platform delivery.
Remote Recording & Direction
Not every project starts with clean files. I can direct voice sessions remotely, capture audio from Zoom and similar platforms, and advise on microphone setup and recording environment before a session begins — reducing the amount of repair work needed in post.
Audio Cleanup & Restoration
Bad source material isn't always a dealbreaker. Harsh voices, background noise, inconsistent levels between speakers — these are fixable problems. Through dialogue editing, EQ and restoration tools, recordings that feel unusable can often be shaped into something that works.
